Connection Instructions for Windows 98 and 95 with IE 4.0
Open Control panel and double Click on the Internet Icon
Click on the Tab named connection
Click on: Use the connection wizard to connect to the Internet
Click on the option: I have an existing account
Use the option: Using a LAN or local service provider
Click on: connect using my phone line
Enter the phone number 733-6600
Uncheck the box for using Country code and area code
Click Next
Enter the User name on your registration form
Enter the password
Click Next
Click yes to change advanced settings
Click Next
Type of connection is Point to Point PPP
Click Next
Logon procedure is: I don’t need to type anything when logging on
Click Next
IP Address is automatically provided
Click Next
DNS server address: Always use the following
In the first box 129.186.142.200
In the second box 12.110.241.11
Click Next
Change Dialup connection name to storycity.net
Click Next
Setup Internet Mail Account: Click Yes
Click Next
Enter a Name for your e-mail account provided in your letter
Click Next
Internet e-mail address is user@storycity.net where user is the name provided in your letter
Click Next
Email server type is a POP3 server and the name is: mail.storycity.net
Email server for outgoing mail is: mail.storycity.net
Click Next
Enter your user name for the: Internet Mail logon User name
Enter your password
Click Next
Click on No for Login using secure password
Enter Friendly name Choice for this e-mail account: Use the default
Click Next
Click Yes for Set up internet News
User name
E-mail address
Click Next
News address is: news.lh.net
Don’t check box to require logon
For friendly name for account use default
Click Next
Click No to Setup Directory service.
Complete setup
Go back to control panel and Click on Internet
Click on connection
Click on access Internet using Proxy server
Enter address ole.storycity.net for Proxy server
Enter 8080 for port number
Click ok
The setup is complete. Click on the Large Lower case E on the computer to activate the Internet connection and click on the connect button to access your Internet account.
